Agbenu Ka Achoalo
This year’s carnival is tagged “Agbenu Ka achoalo: The Wealth of Our People”, and will run from December 22 through 26, featuring cultural displays, traditional wrestling competition, historical tour, awards, pageant, football tournament, comedy, band parade, amongst other events lined up. Following statistics of previous carnivals, our expected number of participants is over ten-thousand from within Nigeria and the diaspora.
Our vision is to make Idoma Africa’s foremost tourist destination.
Established in 2013, the Idoma International Carnival is a four-day unity and tourism driven carnival which features contemporary and traditional entertainment events. The carnival is held annually in Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria. In its seventh edition this year, the carnival is inspired by a common desire amongst its organizers and volunteers to showcase the Idoma cultural heritage and her tourism potentials globally, while attracting investment opportunities to the area.The Idoma International Carnival Organization is a nonprofit and non-governmental organization founded by Prince Edwin Ochai, Ph.D.
